    IMHO the scary thing about kits like these is people buy one, and think they are prepared; end of story. They are outrageously expensive; woefully inadequate; usually cheap junk; and misleading.

    Additionally, they buy one of these kits and no matter if its is useful good quality or not - they have no idea how to use any of it.

    Awhile back, I think it was Pragmatist who posted an article written by a woman who didn't even know how to change batteries or use a wind up radio in the "Judy" kit. I still struggle to understand how anyone is so useless.
