From the 15th century to the 1800s, what institution / organization was not involved, either directly or indirectly, with slavery ? The origins of the New York Stock Exchange in New Amsterdam - later: "New York" - was a market for commodities besides stocks. One of the commodities was slaves.

Those flouncers on the shoes look functional to keep mud and canal water away from shoes and socks/stockings. I prefer spats or leggings.

Instead of spending money on a box of cigars ... perhaps Dutch Masters brand ... let's build a balsa raft with sails and warm up in the Dutch Caribbean.
