Chairman Committee on Oversight and Reform 2157 Rayburn House Office Building Washington, DC 20515

Dear Mr. Chairman: We request a hearing to examine widespread security protocol breaches at the State Department concerning former Secretary Hillary Clinton’s
private email server. The unorthodox and unsecure arrangement she maintained exposed classified, national security and diplomatic-sensitive information to a myriad of risks and related issues. On June 5, 2019, the State Department disclosed that it had determined 15 officials had committed a total of 30 security infractions and violations after reviewing emails found on Secretary Clinton’s private email server.
    1
The State Department’s review remains ongoing and they have signaled the likelihood of further disclosures of personnel and security incidents before the conclusion of its review on September 1, 2019.
    2
Given your previous statements about protecting our national security interests, I hope you would agree that the Committee should take immediate action on this matter.
    3
The wide-ranging fallout from these mishandling instances should not be minimized and obscured. The State Department’s lengthy and time-consuming internal review of the email communications in question have led to numerous mishandling probes, subsequent personnel adjudications, and other administrative proceedings. In a letter to Sen. Grassley, the State Department recently wrote, “given the volume of emails provided to the Department from former Secretary Clinton’s private email server, the Department’s process has been necessarily more complicated and complex requiring a significant dedication of time and resources.”

House Republicans demand hearing after State Dept. cites 'multiple security incidents' under Clinton leadership

    From the Story:
"House Oversight Committee Republicans on Tuesday formally called for an immediate hearing on security breaches at the State Department during Hillary Clinton's leadership, after the department said Monday it had uncovered "multiple security incidents" involving more than a dozen employees."

What goes around, comes around. The Democrats poked the bear, too man times and for too long. Now it is going to be their turn in the barrel.

I'm curious though,,,If Elijah Cummings is now the chairman can he just not allow the hearing? That sounds like one of his type of actions.

Ah, and that is the thrill of politics. As a Democrat, it sure look bad if he refuses to consider. BAD P.R. anyway you look at it and with an upcoming election year.

Very true but it sure looks bad to others. One just has to wait (get the popcorn ready) and watch the show.

IMHO the only thing that will change the game would be serious involvement from the Main Stream Media. Democrats have always gotten away with this BS because the MSM protects them, and gives them a pass. Nothing is investigated thoroughly. MSM senior management says " there is no story there." and it is ignored. Swept under the rug. Forgotten. How else could criminals like the Clintons continue to operate? More importantly, why would they stop. They pay no consequences for all of their criminal activity.

If the Main Stream Media takes this seriously; does a thorough investigation; holds people accountable; and applies pressure; then and only then will something happen. Otherwise, it is all talk and no action. How many convictions have there been? How many people have been terminated? How many have been held accountable for anything?
