I have read so many similar posts on forums over the years.
first of all, nobody seems to take into account all the deaths of the unprepared, the diseased and the addicted, that will take place once the normal supply systems collapse.
secondly, will people in the cities who have been paying mortgages on their houses for 5, 10, 15 even 20 years just up and abandon them just because there is no food in the shops? don't think so! but anyone who lives in the countryside immediately outside a big city will have problems with raiders and thieves, of this I had no doubt.
one thing I do not subscribe to in the UK is "the golden horde", this myth that people will just wander about the country on foot, just hoping to fall across food, water and shelter. that is not going to happen in the UK, some may but they will be small in number and they will fall prey to the elements, lack of food and water and others of their kind.

 

We will go into survive mode when the shtf no machines will be used no light will be shown watches will be posted it will be hard to do but it will give us a better chance of life

 

once the power goes down that will be the end for most people.
lack of food resupply, no piped water, toilets back filling, no refridgeration, no lights, no heat, no cooking, empty filling stations, no public transport.
