It's nice to have family/friends for an evac destination but what will typically happen is the transfer of the evacuee's problems to other areas in the danger zones, the rest of Hurricane Alley and westward.

Remember, the presumption that roads are drivable, evacuees are somewhat healthy and prepared,... it will be a mess.

Just think out plans now and adjust accordingly.
