    The fire bag is used to contain the tinderbox along with flint & steel for fire lighting. The woodland Indians in the New World used a leather pouch that was carried under their waste belt. My fire bag is a greased leather pouch which I carry in my belt pouch. The top rolls down to keep it water tight.
