    I agree, also the blades take a better edge then either Gerber or Leatherman. I carry the Swiss Army knife as my everyday knife as its legal to carry in the UK and a practical survival tool.

    Victorinox is definitely a cut above. I have several of their knives and tools and all have been a pleasure to own and use. I have even picked up a couple of their kitchen knives and they are good too. The steel that they use seems to be a near perfect balance between stainless and the better edge holding traits of carbon steel.
