    Good morning everyone. Living off grid in Montana now for about 18 months. Retired Air Force, just loving life with my wife of 38+ years.

    Morning, fencer! Wife and I just celebrated our 17th anniversary in December. My hat's off to you and yours. We are thinking of moving to MT sometime this year, and I have been eyeing the Great Falls area. Would love to find a place where we don't have to worry about neighbors, but can still get to town if needed (work, shopping, etc.). Are generators common out there, as a backup for when the power goes out?
